Ancient Roman Architecture

Roman Culture is famous for its new style of Architecture. It has peculiar characteristics and some of the most important ones are the arch, baked brick, concrete and cement.

In Italy, we can find many examples of Ancient Roman Architecture in temples and churches. But Ancient Romans also improved the quality of life for citizens due to the high population density, creating with aqueducts and sewage systems. Romans constructed public and private baths and latrines and even under-floor heating, which were advanced for the time.

Roman Architecture influenced building construction until nowadays. Many can observe Roman features in government buildings, business houses, banks, etc. The Dome, created by Romans, is also used to give elegance and importance to buildings.
